Naidu Hopes Telugus Are in Top Positions by 2047
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu urged Telugus across the globe to join hands in driving the state’s development and expressed his aspiration for Telugus to hold top positions globally by 2047, the centenary of India’s Independence.
Speaking as the chief guest at the Telugu Samakhya Mahasabhalu in Hyderabad, Naidu shared his vision of creating a poverty-free society, drawing inspiration from TD founder N.T. Rama Rao. He expressed happiness at seeing Telugus from around the world come together on a common platform.
The Chief Minister lauded the contributions of personalities like D.V.S. Raju and Indira Dutt and emphasised unity among Telugus, whether living within Andhra Pradesh and Telangana or abroad. Highlighting the global presence of Telugus, he noted, “Telugus in foreign lands often respect their mother tongue more than those at home.”
Reflecting on his earlier Vision-2020 initiative, Naidu said, “While people mocked it initially, I laid the foundation for an excellent start-up ecosystem. Together, we can achieve anything.” He commended the community for its progress and encouraged continued collaboration.
Naidu also acknowledged the achievements of prominent Telugu leaders such as P.V. Narasimha Rao, Venkaiah Naidu, Koka Subba Rao, Justice N.V. Ramana, Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, and Balayogi. He celebrated the global recognition of Tollywood and praised traditional Telugu arts like Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Batukamma for reflecting the community’s rich culture.
During the event, the Chief Minister honoured several celebrities, presented business awards, and unveiled a souvenir from the World Telugu Federation and a start-up logo under the name Telugu Angels.
