Tiger collides with car near Allagadda
Kurnool: A tiger collided with a car between Allagadda and Ahobilam on Wednesday while chasing a herd of monkeys. As it crossed the road, the tiger accidentally struck the vehicle before retreating into the forest. A five-member family from Tadipatri in Kadapa district, who had attended a wedding in Allagadda, was on their way to visit the Ahobilam Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple.
As they were traveling, the tiger hit the vehicle, which was moving at around 20 km/h. The family was startled by the encounter but managed to steer the car to safety nearby, and no one was harmed. The driver of the car confirmed that all five members were unharmed.
Upon receiving the information, forest officials from the Ahobilam range arrived at the spot to investigate, checking the car and surrounding areas for any signs of blood or injury to determine if the animal was hurt in the incident.
Deputy director of forests, Anurag Meena, stated that soon after the incident, their staff members entered the forest and collected urine samples, but they have not yet captured the wild animal. He said that forest officials are continuing to search for the tiger in the forest to assess if it sustained any injuries. Camera traps are being arranged to help identify and capture the animal. Meena also mentioned that there is no evidence of even minor injuries to the tiger, and they believe the animal was not hurt in the accident.
