Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday cleaned the steps of Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada as part of his 'Prayaschitta Deeksha'.
Speaking to the media after the cleaning, Pawan Kalyan said many people ridiculed me when I said something was going wrong in the temples during the YSRC rule.

"When there is defilement, the responsible people should come out and answer," he said referring to the 'Tirupati laddu adulteration row.'
Continuing further, the Jana Sena supremo said, "Whoever is criticizing the issue should first know the full subject matter." "Be it actor Prakash Raj or others, when criticizing such a sensitive matter they should know what happened before. I will not keep quiet if people speak about Sanatana Dharma as they like," Pawan Kalyan added.
Pawan Kalyan, began the 11-day Deeksha at Sri Dasavatara Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Namburu, Guntur district on Sunday as an act of penance in response to the alleged adulteration of the sacred Tirupati Laddu offering.
