Tirupati Police Crack ATM Theft Case, Arrest Two

TIRUPATI: Tirupati police arrested two suspects involved in an ATM theft in Chandragiri within four days of the incident. The arrests were made on Tuesday near Gadanki Toll Plaza. The police recovered `5,38,000 of the stolen cash, along with other property, collectively valued at `11,97,000. The main accused Kongara Suresh Babu, 37, worked as an ATM cash custodian and has been allegedly stealing money from various ATMs in Tirupati for some time. One of his accomplices Ch. Manoj Kumar was arrested and another accomplice B. Manoj Kumar remains at large. The theft occurred on August 30 at a State Bank of India ATM in Chandragiri.
