Trade union demands disbursement of pending dues to RINL workers

Visakhapatnam: Visakha Steel Plant Parirakshana Porata Committee, affiliated with CITU, has called upon the management to disburse 185 per cent of the salaries owed to the employees of RINL for the past three months. A dharna was staged on Wednesday in front of the RINL main administration building under the auspices of CITU. They also highlighted the need for enhancements in hospital and cafeteria facilities.
Union’s honorary president J. Ayodhya Ram criticised the MPs from the Telugu states for failing to address the Centre regarding its persistent lack of support for RINL. He urged the state government to pressurise the Centre to ensure full production at the steel plant.
CITU leaders, including K. Gangadhar, Krishnamurthy, Maridaya B. Apparao, Srinivasaraju, V. Prasad, Mahesh, Toudanna, Srinivas, M.V. Ramana, K. Bhanumurthy, Satyanarayana and Poornachandra Rao took part in the protest.
