TTD Announces Brahmotsavams at Appalayagunta, Sri Periyalwar Utsavam in Tirupati

Nellore: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced the schedule for the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy at Appalayagunta and the Sri Periyalwar Utsavam at Tirupati.
The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy will be held from June 25 to July 3 at Appalayagunta. The festivities will begin with Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam on June 23, followed by Ankurarpanam on June 24. Vahana Sevas will be conducted every morning and evening during the festival.
Among the major events are the Kalyanotsavam on June 28, Garuda Vahanam on June 29, Rathotsavam on July 2, and Chakrasnanam and Dhwajavarohanam on July 3.
TTD said devotees can participate in the Kalyanotsavam by obtaining tickets priced at `500 per couple. Spiritual discourses, devotional music, bhajans and cultural programmes will also be organised throughout the festival.
Meanwhile, the annual Sri Periyalwar Utsavam will be observed from June 16 to 25 at the Sri Lakshmi Narayana Swamy Temple attached to the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati.
During the 10-day festival, HH Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, along with their disciples, will recite Divya Prabandham Pasurams every morning and evening before Sri Periyalwar.
The celebrations will conclude on June 25 with Tirumanjanam to Sri Periyalwar in the morning. In the evening, Sri Govindaraja Swamy on Garuda Vahanam and Sri Periyalwar on Gaja Vahanam will be taken in procession through the four Mada Streets.
Sri Periyalwar is revered as one of the foremost devotees of Lord Mahavishnu and is also regarded as the father of Sri Andal.
TTD has appealed to devotees to participate in the festivities and seek the blessings of the deities.
