Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is set to observe the 1051st Avatarotsavam of Tirumala Nambi, the renowned Sri Vaishnavite, who pioneered Abhisheka Kainkaryam in Tirumala temple, on Monday at Tirumala Nambi Sannidhi in Tirumala.
Tirumala Nambi is remembered for his significant contributions to the temple traditions. TTD pays homage to his legacy through this yearly commemoration. This annual celebration, organised by the Alwar Divya Prabandha Project of TTD, will commence at 9:30 am. The highlight of the event will be the Anugraha Bhashanam rendered by Ranganatha Yateendra Mahadesikan Swamiji, the pontiff of Ahobila Mutt.
Meanwhile, Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor will host its annual Pavitrotsavams from September 16 to 18. The three-day event will begin with Ankurarpanam on September 15. As part of the preparations, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam, temple cleansing ritual, will be observed on September 10. On day one, Pavitra Pratista will be observed at the temple, followed by Pavitra Samarpana on day two, and Pavitra Purnahuti on day three.
