Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has unveiled an ambitious plan to have full online digitisation of all its temple services within the next two to three years. TTD additional EO Venkaiah Chowdary stated this at the International Temples Convention & Expo (ITCX) 2025 here on Tuesday.

The digital transformation would cover all aspects of temple administration, including darshan bookings, accommodation management, and laddu prasadam distribution. Through this, we aim to set a benchmark in temple administration.”

Chowdary said TTD's darshan management system is designed to be of special help to the common pilgrims. “General darshan is available for 12 to 14 hours on weekdays and extends to 15 to 17 hours on weekends. The plans change based on pilgrim numbers to ensure a comfortable experience.”

He said the waiting and queue system, comprising 63 compartments, accommodates 28,000 pilgrims a day, with round-the-clock food and sanitation facilities.

Tirumala witnesses an annual footfall of 2.5 crore pilgrims. To cater to this vast number, TTD provides over 7,600 rooms and PACs, accommodating around 60,000 pilgrims daily. Additionally, he said, about 80,000 pilgrims receive Annaprasadam, prepared in three dedicated kitchens. “Ten varieties of Srivari Prasadams, including 3.5 lakh laddu prasadams, are given to pilgrims daily.
