Anantapur: Dr. Sethuraman Panchanathan, Director of the U.S. National Science Foundation, will be the chief guest at the 43rd Annual Convocation of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (Deemed to be University) on November 22. The convocation will take place at the Poornachandra Auditorium in Prasanthi Nilayam, Satya Sai district, as part of the celebrations for the 99th birth anniversary of Saibaba.According to sources from the Sathya Sai Central Trust, Vice-Chancellor Prof. B. Raghavendra Prasad will deliver the inaugural address. The Chancellor, Sri K. Chakravarthi, will preside over the ceremony, which will see the awarding of degrees to students in undergraduate, postgraduate, professional, and doctoral research programs.
As part of the ongoing birth anniversary celebrations, International Women’s Day was also observed at Sai Kulwant Hall on Tuesday, following a tradition established by Baba to mark the occasion on November 19 every year.
