VIJAYAWADA: Breaking her silence on the ongoing dispute over family asset distribution between her son, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and her daughter, YS Sharmila, YS Vijayamma released a three-page open letter expressing her distress over recent developments.
In her letter, Vijayamma lamented the situation, stating, "Widespread lies are being spread about my family, which are circulating like wildfire. This is neither good for my family nor for the state, and it should not continue."
She urged the public to refrain from sharing fabricated stories on social media, asserting that her children would resolve their issues themselves, invoking the phrase, "Blood is thicker than water."

Vijayamma also refuted claims made by Vijayasai Reddy and YV Subba Reddy, who alleged that properties had been distributed between Jagan and Sharmila. She clarified that properties registered in Sharmila's name during YSR's lifetime do not equate to a formal distribution of assets.
She criticised Reddy and Subba Reddy for spreading misinformation, which she claims has caused significant distress to her family.
