Vijayawada: Gitam University Launches MBA in Health Care and Hospital Management

Vijayawada: Gitam Deemed to be University, Visakhapatnam, in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), has introduced a two-year full-time MBA postgraduate degree program in Health Care and Hospital Management.

Dr I.B. Raju, MBA (HCHM) Programme Coordinator, announced that this program, commencing in the current academic year at Gitam School of Business, is jointly offered by AMTZ and the Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA). Dr. Raju, along with AMTZ Health Services Consultant Dr. Garima Trivedi, unveiled the course brochure in Vijayawada on Monday.

At a press conference, Dr. Raju emphasized that the new course aims to develop NEXTGEN leaders equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage and lead medium and large healthcare organizations effectively. He highlighted that the comprehensive program integrates advanced management practices with the complexities of the healthcare industry, offering students a unique combination of business acumen and health expertise.

Dr. Garima Trivedi added that the course curriculum merges core business principles with specialized healthcare courses, with instruction driven by Harvard and IIM case studies. Interested students can apply online for the 2024-25 academic year at https://apply.gitam.edu/.
