Visakha Ukku Parirakshana Committee Meets Union Steel Minister

Visakhapatnam:The Visakha Ukku Parirakshana Porata Committee, led by CPM MP Sivadasan, met Union Steel Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to address challenges at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL). Committee president J. Ayodhya Ram stated that the minister assured them of resolving RINL's issues before Sankranti.

The delegation highlighted problems faced by permanent and contract workers and stressed that with adequate raw materials and working capital, RINL could achieve full production capacity. Kumaraswamy reportedly secured an agreement from Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to allocate Rs 10,000 crore for RINL’s revival. The committee expressed optimism about the plant’s future.
