Vizag Cruise Terminal Showcased at Global Cruise Event in Miami

Visakhapatnam:The Vizag International Cruise Terminal made a global presence at Seatrade Cruise Global 2026, held in Miami, USA, from April 13 to 16, billed as the world’s premier cruise industry event.
A release from the Visakhapatnam Port Authority said Dr M. Angamuthu, chairperson of the authority, represented India as part of a high-level delegation nominated by the ministry of ports, shipping and waterways.
He showcased the Vizag International Cruise Terminal as a key component of India’s cruise tourism expansion under the Cruise Bharat Mission.
The Indian delegation held discussions with global cruise operators, including Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruise Line and MSC Cruises, to explore opportunities for increasing cruise traffic and developing new itineraries involving Indian ports.
Meetings with the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) also highlighted India’s policy initiatives, which reportedly received positive response for aligning with global standards.
Officials said India is positioning itself as an emerging cruise destination under the Maritime India Vision 2030, supported by its long coastline and ongoing infrastructure development.
