Vizag stood as one in support of Vijayawada’s flood victims

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam district administration and the city’s various voluntary organisations rose as one to support the victims of floods in Vijayawada.

They used special vehicles to collect breakfast, lunch, dinner, milk, drinking water, biscuits, bread, and candles from Vizag and deliver them to Vijayawada.
District collector, M.N. Harendhira Prasad supervised the entire collection process.
On Wednesday, a private university in Visakhapatnam provided 10,000 lemon rice packets. Akshay Patra donated 10,000 pulihora packets. A private hotel contributed 5,000 upma packets. And a catering manager handed over 5,000 tomato bath packets.
In addition, two lorries took 5,000 food packets, 1,800 drinking water bottles, 3,000 tetra packs of milk and 2,000 biscuit packets to Vijayawada.
The Vizag district administration also collected and transported 20,000 packets of drinking water, 80,000 water bottles, 1,30,000 packets of bread, 10,000 packets of biscuits, 20,000 packets of candles, and 20,000 packets of matchboxes to Vijayawada.
