Under the auspices of Vizag Cinephiles, they can indulge in exclusive screening of Italian neorealism movie Bicycle Thieves or Satyajit Ray's Bengali film Mahanagar. Having immersed themselves in such cinema, they engage in insightful discussions about the ground-breaking classical films.
Dr A. Rajyam, a young enthusiast, speaks of the unique nature of Vizag Cinephiles' screenings. She says, “It's not just about watching movies. It's about immersing yourself in an enriching cultural experience. You can explore award-winning international and national films, unreleased gems, and thought-provoking documentaries. But what truly sets us apart is the lively group discussions that follow, where we share unique perspectives and insights.”

The film club hosts screenings and extensive film discussions at various locations in Visakhapatnam. It introduces classic films to students who want to explore the world of cinema. Its aim is to cultivate a new generation of individuals who appreciate films beyond commercial entertainment. The club educates young minds about the significance of cinema as both an art form and a catalyst for critical thinking,” says S. Rajita, a regular visitor to Vizag Cinephiles.
