Vizianagaram: Ten Arrested in Ganja Smuggling Operation

Visakhapatnam: Vizianagaram district police have arrested ten individuals, including four juveniles, for allegedly selling ganja near the railway station.

The operation, which resulted in the seizure of 24 kilograms of ganja and ₹1,390 in cash, was announced at a press conference on Sunday by District Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal.

SP Jindal stated that the arrests followed a tip-off received by One Town Circle Inspector S. Srinivasan and Sub-Inspector Naveen Padal, who led the raid. The suspects include Beta Lallu (21), Talada Durga Prasad (21), Teja Swarup (21), Gade Sumanth alias Chinnu (24), Srinath Khora (42), Santhosh Jatav alias Raj Pal Jatav (30), and four juveniles.

Many of the accused are reported to be drug addicts with prior criminal records. Notably, Talada Durga Prasad has been involved in 12 criminal cases, while Teja Swarup has eight cases against him. The juveniles are suspected to have assisted the adult suspects.
