VSP Blast: Three Bodies Identified; Lokesh Visits Injured At KIMS

Deputy CM K. Pawan Kalyan is also scheduled to visit the injured workers

Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and Education Minister Nara Lokesh would visit the injured in the VSP ladle blast incident in Vizag on Tuesday.

Lokesh visited the injured undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital in the city and sympathized with the workers. He also condoled the bereaved families. During his visit, he interacted with the workers unions at the plant.

Meanwhile, doctors have identified three of the deceased workers -- Bhanukumar, Ramana and Appalaraju.

KGH Superintendent Vani said that eight bodies were shifted to KGH mortuary on Monday. As the bodies were charred beyond recognition, DNA tests are being done to identify them. DNA samples have been collected from the bodies and sent to Vijayawada for identification.

Later, the bodies would be handed over to their relatives. Arrangements have been made to shift the bodies to the native places. The condition of two of the injured is serious.
