World Bank delegation calls on Andhra Pradesh CM
Vijayawada: A delegation from the World Bank called on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at AP Secretariat on Monday and held discussions.
The chief minister briefed them on the construction of capital Amaravati by following the “highest standards” and using state-of-the-art technology. Municipal administration minister P Narayana and CRDA commissioner K Bhaskar were present.
The four-member delegation included senior infrastructure specialist Raghu Kesavan, lead transport specialist Gerald Olivier, senior urban specialist King Yun Shen and South Asia urban practise manager Anbedali Rajak F Khalil.
The team arrived here on Saturday on a three day’s visit and met CRDA officials to study the Amaravati development project and its present status. The delegation visited Amaravati and personally inspected the physical status of the existing buildings.
On Sunday, the delegation took an overview of the roads and visited the Kondaveedu rivulet lift pump house works and the VIP, SRM and AIIMS. The visit culminated in a meeting with the chief minister.
