YCP leaders robbed the state through graft: Kollu Ravindra
Minister Kollu Ravindra said former minister Perni Nani agreed to pay for the missing PDS rice and this shows that he had committed the crime.
He said that the government would not leave anyone involved in the illegal mining of underground resources.
Speaking to media, he said that the former minister is on the run after smuggling PDS rice worth Rs 90 lakh. He accused the YCP leaders of swindling tonnes of rice during its rule. The YCP is a robbers' party and their chief is a notorious thief, he said.
He also charged Nani and his son of pushing the youth in Bandar into ganja intoxication. They have even involved the women in their house into the crime, he said.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Perni Nani and his family members field for anticipatory bail in Machilipatnam district court and Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Nani's wife will be underground till the bail is issued, sources said. The Krishna district police have failed to find the whereabouts of Nani's family, even after searching intensely.
