Youth Brutally Assaults Live-in Partner's Children
Children handed over to ICDS officials for protection, mother gets counselling

Kakinada: A 28-year-old man, Nallavelugula Pawan Kumar, allegedly subjected his live-in partner's children to brutal abuse at Jangareddygudem in Eluru district.
According to Jangareddygudem sub-inspector Sheikh Jabbir, Gana Sarada, who had left her husband in Tadepalligudem years ago, entered a live-in relationship with Pawan Kumar, a hotel worker from Kondagudem village. Pawan reportedly assaulted her nine-year-old son and younger daughter daily. He beat them severely, left them bruised, and even applied chilli powder to their wounds.
On Sunday, while Pawan was whipping the boy with a cable wire, the children ran onto the road to escape. Alerted by their cries, neighbours confronted Pawan, but he fled. Locals admitted the boy to Jangareddygudem Area Hospital.
Jabbir stated that a case was registered against Pawan and Sarada under Section 307. The children were handed over to ICDS officials for protection, while their mother was counselled. The boy, a Class IV student, and the girl, a Class I student, study at Mandal Praja Parishad School, Jangareddygudem.
