Kurnool: Former MLA Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy criticized the Tirumala Devasthanam (TTD), calling it a unique institution that has been betrayed by previous rulers, including Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, he demanded immediate intervention from the central government to protect the sanctity of TTD and its properties. He questioned former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's religious identity, claiming that the appointments of Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and Y.V. Subba Reddy as TTD board chairmen—whom he labeled as converts and atheists—represent an indirect attack on the Hindu community.
Byreddy expressed outrage over the adulteration of the Tirupati Laddu, a sacred offering, stating that Jagan Mohan Reddy has hurt the sentiments of Hindus worldwide. He also recalled a previous incident in which devotees found chicken bones in the Srisailam Laddu during Jagan's tenure, highlighting a lack of accountability for such issues.
