YSR birth aanniversary: Revanth Reddy to attend event in Vijayawada, Jagan in Idupulapaya

Anantapur: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the 75th birth anniversary celebrations of former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy in Idupulapaya on Monday.

YSRC chief, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was in Pulivendula for the past two days, would attend the prayers and pay floral tribute to his father at Idupulapaya on Monday. Sources said a few Congress leaders would also arrive there to pay tributes in the morning.
Jagan Reddy would reach the spot after Sharmila’s visit.

On Sunday, Jagan Mohan Reddy went to Peddakudal village in Lingala mandal and visited the family members of former MPP Venkata Subba Reddy. Recently, Subba Reddy’s wife Lakshmi Narasamma died of some illness.

A large number of party leaders and workers from Rayalaseema region met Jagan Reddy at the Pulivendula camp office. Party workers from Pulivendula segment represented their leader on some pending issues. Jagan Reddy assured them that he would stand firmly with the party cadres as the TD was resorting to violence and harassment of the YSRC cadres in the state.

Meanwhile, the AP Congress Committee is celebrating the 75 birth anniversary of YS Rajasekhar Reddy in Vijayawada.

CWC member, Gidugu Rudra Raju, said the event would be held at the CK Convention Hall in Mangalagiri near Vijayawada on July 8. Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy, deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka and some other TS ministers would attend the celebrations. AICC state in-charge Manickam Tagore would be presiding over the event.

APCC working president Sk Mastan Vali said that during the tenure of the Congress party in the combined AP, YSR as the then CM introduced many welfare and developmental schemes.
