Pawan Kalyan apologises to governor over YSRC’s actions in assembly
Pawan Kalyan said that the slogans raised by the YSRC legislators yesterday reminded him of the detrimental policies of the previous government

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan has expressed his apology to Governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer for the ‘wrrong’ behaviour of YSRC legislators in the joint session of the AP Assembly a day ago.
Addressing the assembly on Tuesday, he thanked prime minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the state’s people for the allocation of central funds and projects to AP.
Pawan Kalyan spoke during the discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor's speech. He said, "YSRC leaders have become synonymous with quarrels. How has Chandrababu been able to withstand such leaders for so many years? It takes a lot of courage and determination to face such people. The YSRC leaders created a scene in the assembly yesterday. How can it be that those who are supposed to make laws violate them?”
He claimed, “NDA members are acting responsibly. We apologise to the Governor for the wrong behaviour of the YSRC leaders. The previous government played a three-way game on the capital issue. Law and order deteriorated during their rule. We set a world record by holding 13,326 gram sabhas in a single day. The previous government laid only 1800km of CC roads in five years. In the six months of our government, we laid more than 4,000km of CC roads. We built more than 22,000 Gokulas. The previous government misused Jaljeevan Mission funds,” he alleged.
The deputy CM said, "We stand for the people of Andhra Pradesh. No matter how many difficulties we face, the NDA alliance will remain in power for 15 years. If we are not together, it is like betraying the people. We will be together even if we are spoken to in a way that disrespects us. A party that does not respect the Governor should not come to this Assembly."
"When I saw the destruction of YSRC leaders during the Governor's speech, I remembered the murder of Vivekananda Reddy. When there was a commotion in the house yesterday, I remembered the destructive policies of YSRC. The way the Praja Vedika platform was demolished, the demolition of over 200 temples, the way Dr Sudhakar died, the deaths of the Jangareddygudem people, the writing of a letter against a Supreme Court judge, criticizing the high court judges on social media, the attacks on press leaders, the destruction of mangrove forests, the way Chandrababu was put in jail for 53 days, the way Amaravati farmers were beaten to the point of bleeding and cases were filed, the Tirupati adulterated laddu incidents, all these came to mind,” he said.
Pawan Kalyan stated that during the YSRC term, the then forest minister occupied 77 acres of forest land. While cutting and transporting red sandalwood to Karnataka, the forest officials there caught it. When red sandalwood was auctioned, Karnataka got an income of `185 crore.”
He claimed that “it was only because of the CM's efforts that we saved the Visakhapatnam steel industry, but sadly the previous government was ready to lay plots in the Visakhapatnam steel plant.”
