YSRC Slams TD Government Over Security Claims
Vijayawada: Former minister and YSRC leader Ambati Rambabu strongly criticised the Telugu Desam-led coalition government under the leadership of Nara Chandrababu Naidu for their negligence and misleading statements regarding the security of former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Speaking to the media at the camp office here on Wednesday, Rambabu said the YSRC chief had to approach the judiciary to ensure that the security arrangements in place at the time of his resignation as chief minister were maintained.
Reacting to misleading statements by Nara Lokesh on social media, Rambabu said they were false claims regarding bulletproof vehicles and the number of security personnel accompanying Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Rambabu pointed out that the TD government was either neglecting or acting with a vendetta by withdrawing Jagan Mohan Reddy’s security. He said despite claims by Naidu and home minister V. Anitha that 986 security personnel were assigned to Jagan Mohan Reddy, the reality is far different. He clarified that Jagan Mohan Reddy had only 139 security personnel during his tenure as chief minister, contrary to the 986 claimed by the present government. This false narrative, according to Rambabu, is part of a deliberate misinformation campaign, akin to Goebbels’ propaganda.
