YSRC’s welfare record will help revive the party: Y.S. Jagan
VIJAYAWADA: YSRC leaders, including the outgoing chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, reviewed the massive defeat of the YSR Congress in the 2024 elections towards chalking out their future course of action.
The meeting put on record the 40 per cent vote share of YSRC, “which is due to welfare schemes implemented during the last five years and the development taken up.
On the occasion, Jagan Mohan Reddy said people's attention will definitely be on promises of the new government and their implementation. “Within the coming few days, people will start comparing the five-year-rule of YSRC with that of TD. YSRC is known as a reliable party that keeps its word and fulfils its promises. Our party should continue rendering good services to the public and regain support of the masses,” the outgoing CM remarked.
Former ministers Perni Venkataramaiah alias Nani, Vidadala Rajini, Karumuri Nageswara Rao, K.V. Ushasri Charan, Jogi Ramesh and Vellampalli Srinivas Rao, elected MLAs and MPs attended the meeting. They expressed their opinion on the humiliating defeat of the YSRC in the 2024 elections.
They underlined that the special efforts by Jagan to raise the standard of living of every family in the state will continue to remain in the minds of the people. Likewise, they will remember significant changes in the fields of agriculture, education and medicine.
They suspected EC’s biases, some police officers' conspiracies and EVM management have led to the number of YSRC seats reducing significantly.
Responding to the attacks on YSRC cadres, Jagan Mohan Reddy said the party will stand with its ranks and offer all needed assistance. He said YSRC has already lodged a complaint with Governor S. Abdul Nazeer regarding TD attacks.
The YSRC chief said, “Legal teams have been formed in 26 districts. These teams will offer help to victims and fight on their behalf.”
