Vijayawada: State government will conduct a three-day training for mandal-level public representatives and officials of gram panchayats from Thursday for effective implementation of the Rashtriya Grama Swaraj Abhiyan scheme in AP during the 2024–25 financial year.
During the period, gram sarpanches and panchayat secretaries will training on three topics – Sanitation and management of solid wealth processing centres (SWPCs), Preparation and analysis of gram panchayat development plan (GPDP) for 2024–25, and Maintenance of LED street lights in panchayats.
According to a release issued by the AP Institute of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, 13,189 gram panchayat sarpanches and 14,989 panchayat secretaries will take part in the training sessions, which will begin in each mandal on Thursday in all the 13 erstwhile districts of the state.
