APEAPCET 2024 Results

75.51% Pass in Engineering, 87.11% in Agriculture

Visakhapatnam: The results of the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (APEAPCET) 2024 were released on Tuesday by JNTUK, Kakinada.

The top three ranks in engineering were secured by Makineni Jishnu Sai, Murasani Sai Yashwanth Reddy and Bhogalapalli Sandish respectively.

Yellu Sreesanth Reddy from Telangana, Pula Divyatheja and Mukesh Chaudhary from Wadlapudi, secured the first, second and third ranks respectively in agriculture.

The examination was conducted on behalf of the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) from May 16 to May 23. The results are based on a 25 per cent weightage to the marks obtained in the Group subjects (MPC/BiPC) in the qualifying examination. A 75 per cent weightage was given to the normalised marks obtained in APEAPCET-2024.

The ranks are awarded to students who passed Intermediate examinations in 2024 from AP and Telangana and those who submitted declarations along with marks memos via online till 5 pm on June 2.

The examination was conducted in 25 test zones, 49 regional centres and 142 test centres across AP and TS. The test consisted of 160 multiple-choice questions in bilingual mode (English and Telugu). The preliminary keys were released on May 23 for agriculture and May 24 for engineering.

Candidates were given the opportunity to raise objections until May 26.

A total of 3,62,851 students registered for the examination, of which 2,74,213 were for the engineering stream and 88,638 for the agriculture stream. The exams were held across 25 test zones and 49 regional centres in the two states during May 16-23.

The results reveal that 1,95,092 out of the 2,58,374 candidates qualified in the engineering stream, achieving a pass percentage of 75.51. In the agriculture stream, 70,352 out of 80,766 candidates qualified, with an impressive pass percentage of 87.11.

The gender distribution of students showed 1,82,283 females (1,16,205 in engineering and 66,080 in agriculture) and 1,80,566 males (1,58,008 in engineering and 22,558 in agriculture.

Regional registration data indicated significant participation from the AU region (2,24,317 students), SVU region (1,17,858 students), OU region (16,248 students) and non-local regions (4,428 students).

The results were processed after considering the reports of the Key Objections Verification Committees. The examination was conducted with the help of around 1,000 invigilators, 300 observers and 142 chief superintendents per session.
