Hyderabad: CPI MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao stressed the need for showing solidarity with the people of Palestine and flayed Israel for its attacks. He expressed dismay that the BJP government at the Centre had remained oblivious to the plight of the Palestinians.
Addressing a meeting at the Dharna Chowk, Rao said, “PM Modi and the BJP are working on the lines of Hitler. Wonder when the rulers of the USA and India will realise the need for humanity to live together. We cannot look away at the plight of Palestinians and should raise above our immediate family interests. The world has seen two world wars already.”
In his address Prof. M. Kodandaram flayed Israel for its attacks on the Palestine people. “The culture and future of the Palestinian people is at stake. They have been fighting for recognition as an independent nation for some decades now.”
“Resolutions passed by the UN have been ignored and violated by Israel. Schools and hospitals are being bombed and basic infrastructure is being destroyed. This is against humanity and violates the human rights of Palestinians,” Prof. Kodandaram said.
