Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer on Tuesday invited leader of the NDA Legislature Party N. Chandrababu Naidu to form the government in Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, Telugu Desam AP chief and MLA-elect K. Atchannaidu, AP BJP chief and MP-elect Daggubati Purandeswari and Jana Sena political affairs committee chairman and MLA-elect Nadendla Manohar called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.
The three informed Abdul Nazeer about the unanimous election of TD chief Chandrababu Naidu as the leader of the NDA Legislature Party.
Leaders of the three parties also handed over separate letters of unanimously choosing Chandrababu Naidu of Telugu Desam as the leader of their legislature party.
The Governor congratulated Chandrababu Naidu on his election as the leader of the NDA Legislature Party. He then sent him a formal invitation to form the next government in Andhra Pradesh.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled at Kesarapalli at 11:27 am on June 12.
