Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police caught 349 offenders, including three women, during an operation against drunk driving on Saturday.
Among them, 253 were two-wheeler drivers, 16 three-wheeler drivers, 74 four-wheeler drivers, and six were heavy vehicle drivers. Most offenders were aged between 21 and 30 years. Their blood alcohol content (BAC) ranged widely, with 56 cases below 50 and 11 above 301, against the norm of 30 mg per 100 ml of blood.
The highest number of cases was recorded in Shadnagar (152) Madhapur (74) and Gachibowli (58), a statement by the Cyberabad police said.
The operation as carried out in Madhapur, Raidurgam, Gachibowli, Rajendranagar, Chevella, Miyapur, Shadnagar, Kukatpally, Balanagar, Jeedimetla, Alwal, Medchal, RC Puram and Shamshabad.
