Hyderabad: Five more people were arrested on Saturday in connection with the gang rape of a minor within Neredmet police station limits.
According to a senior Rachakonda police official, the accused have been identified as Sripanga Vijay Kumar, Bollepogu Ajay, Guddanti Krishna, Sabavath Hathya Naik, Enjamuri Madhu, James Xaviour, Vagmare Balaji, M.R.W. Deepak, Chakkolu Naresh, Thonte Kiran Kumar.
An 11-year-old girl was raped by the accused persons for several months. Vijay Kumar, the prime accused, and the ‘lover’ of the minor, allegedly involved his friends in the rape. The gang allegedly administered ganja to the minor girl.
Kushaiguda ACP Mahesh confirmed to Deccan Chronicle that the victim claims that ganja was mixed in a cold drink and given to her.
Furthermore, ACP Mahesh said, “The survivor is currently very weak physically, and with six months of pregnancy, her health is being taken care of by the Child Welfare Commission. She has been hospitalised.”
10 arrested for murdering inter student
Hyderabad: In a case of sexual jealousy, 10 persons, including five juvenile suspects, who murdered their 17-year-old intermediate college mate and placed the body on a railway track to make it look like an accident or suicide, were detained by Allapur police.
According to Allapur inspector Venkat Reddy, the victim Mohammed Danish’s parents Ahmad and Anwari Begum, residents of Allapur, Kutatpally, lodged a missing complaint stating that Danish left home at 9.30 pm on June 22 and did not return. The following day they found his body on the railway tracks at Borabanda railway station.
“During investigation we collected CDR of the victim and information about suspects, whose locations matched with that of the victim on June 22,” Venkat Reddy said.
One of the suspects is the son of the deceased rowdy sheeter Mohammed Waheed. He and other suspects had been threatening Danish to stay away from a minor girl with whom he was very close, police sources disclosed.
As per plans, they called Danish to an isolated place near Borabanda railway station where they first attacked him with beer bottles and later strangled him to death, police said.
Five of the accused were produced in the court, while the five juvenile suspects were shifted to a juvenile home.

Man Booked for Threatening Scribe
Hyderabad: Police booked Mohd Yousuf alias `Jungli Yousuf` was booked for reportedly threatening a scribe during a frisking operation. The complainant, Mohammed Zia, stated that he had gone to cover a special police drive held by southwest additional DCP
Mohd Ashwaqe. Police detained Yousuf and registered case for violence in a public place and provocation.
Traffic Tips to Auto Drivers
Hyderabad: A traffic awareness programme was organised for autorickshaw drivers by senior traffic police officers from different zones at the Nampally Exhibition Ground on Saturday. Uniforms were distributed to the drivers, who were briefed on their responsibilities. They were urged to follow traffic rules.
