Hyderabad: Home Guard and Accomplice Arrested for Extortion at KBR Park

Hyderabad: Two persons were arrested by the Banjara Hills police on Wednesday for allegedly targeting couples seated in isolated places at KBR park and extorting money from them.

According to reports, the two included a home guard M Srinivas and his accomplice Yadagiri. Srinivas is attached to the interceptor vehicle of the KBR Udyanam.

As per their modus operandi, according to reports, Yadagiri would go around the park and keep an eye on all couples and tip-off Srinivas about it. Srinivas would go to those couples and threaten them that he would initiate action against them for indulging in illegal activities in a public place.

He would reassure that no action would be taken against them if they gave him money.

This practice came to light after a victim filed a complaint with the Banjara Hills police, who registered a case.
