Independence Day Yatra in Anantapuram Sees Massive Youth Involvement
Anantapur: On the eve of the 78th Independence Day in 2024, a large-scale "Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra" event was organised by SR Educational Society, Pragathi Padham Youth Association, National Service Scheme, Government College (Autonomous), Ananthapuramu, MyGov India, and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, at Kurugunta Village Panchayat in Ananthapur District. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 600 youth and students from APRSW Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School.
The occasion was graced by several dignitaries, including Retired Principal Dr. Pathika Ramesh Narayana, National Youth Awardee Bisathi Bharath, Founder of SR Educational Society Sunkara Ramesh, NSS Programme Officer M. Vishnu Priya, APRSW College Principal Uday Sri, and President of India Awardees B. Jeevan Kumar and K. Jaya Maruthi.
The Guest of Honour, National Youth Awardee Bisathi Bharath, stated that the initiative aimed to invoke a sense of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag. The Ministry of Culture is the nodal ministry for the "Har Ghar Tiranga" initiative.
With 600 youth and students holding flags and chanting the names of National Freedom Fighters, the mass "Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra" concluded with a 3-kilometre march, igniting a sense of patriotism and nation-building.
