Inter-ministerial Team Visits Kurnool to Assess Drought

Kurnool: An inter-ministerial team from the centre visited Kurnool district on Wednesday to assess drought conditions in the district.

Members of the inter-ministerial central team – Director of Department of Expenditure Chinmay Pundlikrao Gotmare, Deputy Adviser of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Dr Ashish Pandey, and Secretary of Central Rural Development Department Aravinda Kumar Soni were part of the team.

They examined areas in the drought affected areas of Alur and Kodumur mandals of the district and inquired about the problems of farmers. Team members first saw the photo exhibition at the Alur mandal headquarters and inquired about the details from the officials of the agriculture and allied departments.

Chief Planning Officer Hima Prabhakar Raju, DWMA Project Director Amarnath Reddy, RWS Superintending Engineer Nageswara Rao, Horticulture Officer Ramanjaneyulu and APMIP Project Director B. Umadevi were present.
