Basavaraj Bommai Predicts Karnataka Assembly Elections Within a Year
HAVERI: Highlighting the leadership confusion within the state Congress, Haveri MP and former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai stated that Karnataka might face an Assembly election within a year.
Speaking to reporters after a thanksgiving program for party workers in Masur of Haveri district on Wednesday, Bommai stated, "People have completely lost faith in the state government. This sentiment was reflected in the Lok Sabha election results. Congress MLAs are desperate. When they approach the Chief Minister with their issues, they receive no solutions, and they are unable to face the public. Due to this, the government's tenure will be short-lived. Assembly elections will be held within a year, leading to the formation of a new government. This time, people will perform an operation on the government."
Bommai, recently elected as the MP, has been touring his Haveri constituency over the past two days. He has been holding meetings with officials, visiting religious places, and participating in party functions to express gratitude to the party workers.
