BSY Abhimanotsava To Rekindle Spirit Of Struggle: Vijayendra

Hosapete: Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra on Wednesday said the upcoming BSY Abhimanotsava in Chitradurga would rekindle the spirit of struggle across the state.
Speaking to reporters, Vijayendra said former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has spent the last five decades fighting for the poor, farmers, the oppressed, and the downtrodden, and his life serves as a model for today’s youth and all politicians.
“The Abhimanotsava should inspire workers to work with dedication for all sections of society. There is a need to raise voices honestly for every community,” he said.
Vijayendra noted that Yediyurappa had built the party organisation in the state through sheer hard work and, as Chief Minister, had become a source of inspiration to many. “Even hearing his name gives goosebumps to our party workers,” he said, describing him as a towering BJP leader.
He added that the party would further strengthen its organisation by utilising Yediyurappa’s experience and leadership.
On internal party matters, Vijayendra said no injustice had been done to Yediyurappa.
He added that he was appointed state president by the party and has been touring the state to strengthen the organisation, and that all members are bound by party decisions.
Ahead of the Abhimanotsava, Vijayendra held meetings with party office-bearers from Vijayanagara, Koppal and Ballari districts. Former Deputy Chief Minister and MP Govind Karjol and other leaders were present.
Vijayendra said an estimated 8 to 10 lakh people are expected to participate in the programme.
