DK Shivakumar Lashes Out For Shifting IPL Final Venue to Ahmedabad

Karnataka Chief minister-designate DK Shivakumar on Sunday lashed out at Indian Premier League (IPL) organisers for shifting the venue for the final to Ahmedabad, saying it was an injustice to Karnataka, and alleged the move was politically motivated, according to news agency PTI.
"The IPL final match should have happened in Bengaluru. Injustice has been done to us. Due to politics, they held it at a different venue. I won't speak much on it," he told reporters.
He also congratulated Royal Challengers Bengaluru for their second consecutive IPL title triumph. "I congratulate them on behalf of the RCB fans in Karnataka, and the state government," he said.
In a separate post on X, Shivakumar said praised the RCB on the achievement, and hailed the players, support staff and fans for the triumph.
“Tonight, Bengaluru rises again as champions! This year too, the cup belongs to us. RCB has created history by clinching a second consecutive IPL title. With grit, composure, and the heart of true champions, the team has once again made Bengaluru proud.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, support staff, and millions of fans who stood by the team every step of the way.” he wrote on X.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru clinched their second successive Indian Premier League (IPL) title after defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Star batter Virat Kohli anchored the chase with an unbeaten 75 as RCB secured another historic triumph.
