Gruha Lakshmi Funds to Be Credited Within a Week: Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar
Taking a dig at the opposition, Hebbalkar criticized the BJP.

Belagavi: Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar announced that the funds for Gruha Lakshmi scheme beneficiaries will be credited to their bank accounts within a week.
Speaking at her home office in Belagavi, the minister stated that the funds would be released through Taluk Panchayats into the beneficiaries' bank accounts.
"There was a slight delay in disbursing the funds as I was on rest due to a road accident. However, I have already instructed officials, and the funds will be credited soon," she assured.
“Until now, the funds were being disbursed through the central office in Bengaluru. However, as part of a decentralization effort, the government has decided to release funds via Taluk Panchayats, which will then be transferred to the accounts of Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) in the department. I have directed that the funds be released within a week," she added.
Taking a dig at the opposition, Hebbalkar criticized the BJP.
"The opposition only knows how to talk. They claimed that the guarantee schemes would bankrupt the government, but later copied the same schemes to win elections in other states," she said.
The delay in payments had caused widespread dissatisfaction among beneficiaries in several areas, leading to discussions and criticism from opposition leaders, who used the issue to attack the government.
