IT officials arrive at Ballari Central Prison to question actor Darshan
Ballari: Income Tax officials arrived at Ballari Central Prison on Thursday to question actor Darshan.
According to sources the officials who arrived from Bengaluru questioned him in a designated room within the prison premises, lasting for about 6 hours from noon until about 7 pm. They are said to have asked him about the source of money seized after the murder of Renukaswamy at various stages of investigation.
Amidst this, Prakash, the producer of the movie 'Devil,' visited Darshan and spoke with him for about 25 minutes.
Actor Darshan, the A2 in Renukaswamy murder case has been in judicial custody for over 100 days.
He was initially held at Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Prison but was transferred to Ballari Central Prison on August 29 amid controversy.
The controversy arose after viral images and videos emerged, depicting Darshan consuming coffee, smoking, and allegedly making a video call while in prison.
