Karnataka: Basavaraj Bommai's Jan Sampark Office inaugurated

Haveri: The Jan Sampark Office of Haveri MP Basavaraj Bommai was inaugurated by Sadashiva Swamiji of Haveri Hukkeri Math on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference after the inauguration, Bommai explained that the purpose of opening the office was to address public grievances and provide suitable solutions.
"Citizens will bring their issues and concerns here, and our office will forward letters and matters to the district administration and state government," he said.
Bommai mentioned that several meetings would be held at the office, with Thursdays reserved for Haveri district and Fridays for Gadag district. "I will be available from 11 am to 5 pm. This office will remain very accessible to the public," he assured.
Addressing the recent deaths of women in Ballari, stating that no amount of money could bring back the lives lost. "When the Congress was in opposition, they raised their voices, but now the CM has shown no interest. No one has been held accountable so far. The health department secretary has not even visited," he criticized, adding that corruption in the system was costing lives. "The health department is diseased. There is corruption, and innocent lives are being sacrificed. This is an unacceptable crime," he stated.
Bommai also expressed concern over the health department’s condition, stating that it is "in ICU." “Proper medicines are not available, and even essential drugs are not being stocked correctly. Why are crucial drugs not in stock?” Bommai questioned. He accused the state government of financial mismanagement, which he claimed had led to higher charges in public hospitals.
On the issue of illegal layouts in Haveri, Bommai urged the district administration to take immediate action. "There should be no political interference in this matter. Official layouts should be developed, and illegal ones must be stopped," he said.
Bommai also spoke about the challenges farmers are facing due to Waqf orders, which have caused problems for temples, ponds, hospitals, and schools. "We must all fight against this issue. We are working on it," he added.
