Karnataka: National rally racer Ranjith Ballal dies in road accident

In a tragic incident, Ranjith Ballal, a national-level car racing champion was killed in a road accident, when his motorcycle collided with an auto trolley carrying gas cylinders in Karnataka's Kundapur.
The accident happened on Monday on National highway 66, between Kundapur and Byndoor.
The 59-year-old racer was returning on his motorcycle finishing a family trip to Goa, while his family members were following him in a car.
According to reports, the mishap occurred, when the auto driver suddenly slowed down owing to a road closure.
The national rally race champion, Ranjith, had won over 100 trophies, while mentoring and training many youngsters.
