Karnataka: TIFR’s Weather Study Instrument Lands in Vijayapura Field
Vijayapura: A weather study scientific instrument, or payload, launched by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Hyderabad, under the Department of Atomic Energy, has landed in a field in a village of Chadachan taluk, Vijayapura district, with the aid of a parachute.
The district administration has already informed the concerned institute about the incident. A team of officials from TIFR is expected to arrive in Vijayapura shortly to retrieve the parachute, payload, and associated equipment from the field.
In an official statement, Deputy Commissioner T. Bhoobalan assured the public that there was no need for concern regarding the incident. The equipment will be safely collected by the relevant authorities.
