Knife-Wielding Attacker Injures Four in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar
Police identify Kadamba, a known criminal, as the suspect behind the spree of knife attacks on street vendors and others

A knife-wielding man attacked and injured four people, including two street food vendors, in Bengaluru's Indiranagar on Saturday night. Police have identified the attacker as Kadamba, a known criminal with a history of theft and alcohol-related offenses. The victims, though injured, are all reported to be out of danger.
The first attack occurred at 9:30 p.m., when Kadamba, in an intoxicated state, confronted 19-year-old Jaswanth, who was on a scooter. After an altercation, Kadamba slashed Jaswanth’s throat before fleeing. About 20 minutes later, Kadamba approached 24-year-old street food vendor Deepak Kumar Verma. After an argument over the food, Kadamba allegedly slashed Verma’s neck with a knife.
Approximately 800 meters away, Kadamba attacked 44-year-old Tammaiah M, a chaat vendor, over a payment dispute. After refusing to pay for the food and demanding a UPI scanner, Kadamba slashed Tammaiah’s face with a knife before fleeing.
The fourth incident occurred around 2:30 a.m., when Kadamba attacked a bike taxi rider, Adil Aamirsab, after the victim refused to take him to a railway station. Kadamba slashed Aamirsab’s neck and fingers before stealing his scooter and mobile phone.
Following the attacks, rumors of a serial killer spread on social media, causing widespread panic. Police clarified that the attacks were the work of Kadamba, a habitual offender. Four FIRs have been registered, and efforts are underway to apprehend him. Investigators identified Kadamba through CCTV footage, and special police teams are searching Bengaluru and nearby areas. Kadamba has a criminal record, with six pending cases, including burglary, assault, and robbery.
