Mangaluru Airport Sets New Record with 7,710 Passengers on Jan 12
Mangaluru: Mangaluru International Airport handled the arrival and departures of 7,710 passengers on 12 January 2025, making it the highest ever since the Airport’s Commercial Operation Date (COD) of Oct 31 2020.
The passenger count included 7,613 adults and 97 infants, managed across 49 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) involving 24 arrivals and 25 departures. This new record surpassed the previous high of 7,637 passengers on November 10, 2024, also handled with 49 ATMs.
The airport has been experiencing a surge in passenger traffic, with January 11, 2025, marking another milestone as 7,538 passengers were processed through 48 ATMs, the fifth-highest single-day figure since COD, making it a busy weekend.
In its press statement, the airport listed other notable instances of managing over 7,000 passengers in a single day:
January 4, 2025: 7,613 passengers
December 31, 2023: 7,548 passengers
November 25, 2023: 7,452 passengers
August 15, 2024: 7,406 passengers
November 19, 2023: 7,399 passengers
December 10, 2023: 7,350 passengers
