Minister Minister Rahim Khan Assesses Malegaon Damage, Rs 5 Cr PHC Approved
BIDAR: Municipal Administration and Hajj Minister Rahim Khan inspected the rain-affected fields in Malegaon and Vilaspur villages on Thursday to assess the crop damage caused by recent heavy rains.
The Minister was accompanied by officials led by Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma and Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr Girish Dilip Badole.
Surveying waterlogged farmland where crops like green gram, black gram, and pigeon pea were damaged, the minister instructed officials to expedite the assessment process and provide an accurate report on the losses.
Rahim Khan stressed the urgency of completing the survey swiftly as the compensation could be distributed to affected farmers. He also directed the authorities to ensure that relief reaches those whose homes were damaged by the rains.
During his visit to Malegaon, the minister inspected collapsed houses. He also handed over a Rs. 2 lakh compensation letter to the father of Sabia Banu, a farmer who lost her life due to a snakebite while working in the fields recently.
The minister also visited the newly established procurement centers for green gram and black gram at the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society.
He also announced that a new Primary Health Center has been approved for Malegaon, with Rs. 5 crore allocated for its construction by the Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board (KKRDB).
