Padayatra Of BJP-JDS Out Of Jealousy, Alleges Dy CM DK Shivakumar

Bengaluru: President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and Deputy Chief Minister DK. Shivakumar on Monday exuded confidence Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s chair cannot be dislodged by the padayatra of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal Secular (JDS) from Bengaluru to Mysuru city.

The padayatra by BJP-JDS is to demand the resignation of Siddaramaiah over alleged scams in Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and fraudulent transactions in the bank accounts of Valmiki Corporation.
Addressing the Congress party’s ‘Janandolana’ a public meeting held in Maddur of Mandya district, Shivakumar said BJP and JDS leaders unable to tolerate that a person (Siddaramaiah) hailing from a backward class has become the Chief Minister for the second term and termed JDS and BJP of being ‘jealous’ over not holding on to power in the State.
He alleged opposition leaders are up against the ruling Congress government in Karnataka unable to digest the implementation of 5-guarantee schemes such as free power up to 200 units a family, free travel for women in State owned buses, Rs 2,000 cash benefit scheme for female head of a family and two others an charged the opposition parties of trying their best to halt the 5-guarantees given to the people by the Congress party.
Reacting to State Janata Dal Secular president and Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy to dislodge Congress government in Karnataka in about 10 months, the KPCC President stated “Is Congress party a pot to be broken?”.

He asked State president of BJP B.Y. Vijayendra and Leader of Opposition R. Ashok not come out with answers on the questions posed by Congress party particularly regarding alleged Rs 47 crore scam in Agriculture Marketing Produce Committee, Rs 87 crore scam in Bhovi Corporation, Rs 50 crore scam in Devaraj Urs Truck Terminal, scam of Rs 430 crore in Ganga Kalyana Yojana, scam in Lord Parashuram statue, PSI appointment scam, seizure of Rs 700 crore from the house of close aide of BJP leader and former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, egg scam in anganwadis among others during the tenure of BJP rule in the State.

Shivakumar stated he will come out with details of alleged scam in mining alleged to have taken place during JDS State President H.D. Kumaraswamy was the Chief Minister.
