Rave party: Bangalore police names 100 to 150 unknown persons as accused in case
Bangalore: The Electronic City police station officials probing the rave party busted in GR farmhouse at Hebbagodi in its limits named over 100 to 150 unknown persons as accused in the case.
The sleuths of City Crime Branch (CCB) raided the rave party hosted in the name of "Vasu's Birthday" and subtitled "Sunset to Sunrise" and seized cocaine, 'ecstacy' and MDMA pills and other narcotic substances. Several people from the two Telugu States attended the party that allegedly continued till early hours with loud DJ music prompting the police to conduct raid.
After the raid, the police found several influential people from two Telugu States apart from those residing in Bangalore and its surroundings attending the party.
Based on a complaint lodged by a police officer Mohammed Mukaram, the police registered a case under provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act-1985 along with other Sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
As part of the investigation, the police collected samples from those who attended the party to confirm whether anyone consumed drugs.
According to police, there were more than 100 attendees from Andhra Pradesh and Bengaluru, including over 25 young women. DJs, models, actors, and techies were among those present at the party.
The event conducted between 5 pm (May 18) and 6 am (May 19) was said to be a birthday party organised by Hyderabad-based person Vasu. A pass belonging to an MLA from Andhra Pradesh was found in a car parked at the venue. Additionally, more than 15 luxury cars were also parked on the premises. The party was estimated to cost Rs 50 lakh a day, sources said.
