Techie ends life, claims a legal genocide of men is happening in India
In a tragic incident in Bengaluru, 34-year-old tech entrepreneur Atul Subhash took his own life, sparking a nationwide outcry and igniting a debate over systemic issues in India. Atul’s haunting final message, shared on X (formerly Twitter), read, “A legal genocide of men is happening in India,” which was directed at global leaders such as US President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The post, which has since been deleted, revealed the pain and anguish Atul had been enduring.
Before his death, Atul left behind a chilling 24-page suicide note, accusing five individuals, including his wife, her family, and Principal Family Court Judge Rita Kaushik, of harassment, extortion, and corruption. He wrote, "I am writing this suicide note in a sound and disposing mind," and detailed his reasons for taking his life, which he claimed were rooted in explicit instigation, harassment, and systemic corruption.
The note outlined several emotional and explicit wishes, including the care of his child, which he wanted to be handed over to his parents or brother. Atul also insisted that his wife and her family not participate in any posthumous rituals and demanded that his ashes only be immersed once justice was served against those he accused. He specifically requested an investigation into the corrupt practices of the individuals mentioned in his note.
Atul’s death has sparked an online movement, with the hashtag #JusticeForAtulSubhash trending across social media, as people demand judicial reforms and stricter protections against false cases. The nation mourns the loss of a young life, while the call for justice grows louder.
