Vijayapura: Three people drowned in a pit filled with rainwater in Hadalageri village in Muddebihal of Vijayapura district. All three bodies have been recovered.
The victims are identified as Nilamma Hulagappa Killarhatti (17), Muttappa Mahalingappa Killarhatti (24), and Shivu Shivappa Yalawar (24).
According to officials, Nilamma entered the pit to fetch drinking water for theanimals. She accidentally slipped into water, and the two others drowned while attempting to rescue her.
