Waqf Adalat Inaugurated in Karnataka's Hubballi

HUBBALI: At the inauguration of the Waqf Adalat in Hubballi, Minority Welfare and Waqf Minister Zameer Ahmad Khan underscored the divine responsibility of safeguarding Waqf properties.

“Preserving Waqf properties is a divine duty. I urge you to use these properties for the betterment of the community,” he said.

"If Waqf properties are properly managed, there would be no need to seek financial assistance from the government. There are 47,000 Waqf properties in the state, out of which 23,000 are under encroachment, dispute, or litigation. It is our duty to protect these properties," he stated.

Khan also revealed plans to use Waqf resources to establish hospitals in each taluk and women’s colleges in every district. He praised the Waqf Board's efforts, describing involvement with the board as an opportunity to serve the community in a noble manner.

"The Waqf Board has initiated several projects, including the provision of freezers for each taluk and ambulances for each district. Furthermore, a Rs. 25 crore project has been proposed for the enhancement of major dargahs in the state," he said.

Party Chief Whip in the Council Saleem Ahmad, MLC Abdul Jabbar, Waqf Board Chairman Anwar Basha and others were present.
